Ability Score Increase doesn't increase ability scores

So I am using a homebrew race (bullkin) and When I choose ability scores to increase they don't. What is happening?

Did they increase on the actual sheet, just not in the builder?

No they did not.

I am going to try to remake the race from a variant and see if that works.

You have to add the correct Morifiers to the race. What scores are you trying to increase?

It worked! I was getting the trait to increase two scores of the player's choice and had to redo that. One by two and the other by one.
