The description of the ability to take no damage from an effect that deals half damage on a successful dex save doesn't show the full ability. It makes it appear that it applies to any save that allows half damage.
Never rely solely on what the character sheet says. The character sheet displays “snippets,” which are abridged versions of the features & traits a character has. If you click/tap on the snippets, it’ll bring out the sidebar which displays the full description. The character sheet is just there as a reminder, always go by the full description.
