For your character sheet do you have Homebrew toggled to on? Click the profile picture on the sheet, then choose Preferences. In the sidebar that opens the top toggle-switch is for Homebrew. Ensure this is turned on. If it is, can you post a link to the character sheet and the item? You don't need to publish them, the mods can still take a look.
If your item is a weapon, shield or armour type don't forget to check the character has the relevant proficiencies.

You'll want to remove the spaces in those links and separate them out into two separate links. Is the homebrew item in your collection, or did you remove it from your homebrew collection?

Is that magic item in your homebrew “Collection,” or only in your homebrew “Creations” by any chance? Stuff has to be in your collection in order to use it.
Try clicking the Inspiration box twice (next to the Speed box) and then reload the page, to "wake up" the character and any possible access to new features and items, and then see if you can add that magic item from Inventory. And of course make sure you have Homebrew Content access enabled in your HOME | Preferences. (Gotta ask the "is the appliance plugged in?" tech support question...)

I just created a homebrew magic item and I am unable to find it in the manage equipment area to add it to my character.

Hi, I encountered the same problem, except my character does have homebrew enabled and is proficient with the weapon I made for him. https://ddb.ac/characters/21982633/0hTQ4U https://www.dndbeyond.com/magic-items/3877269-dragonfyre

Yes, it's in both creations and collections.
