For months, anytime I wanted to edit a post I just posted on the forum (after seeing the results of a roll, for instance), I had to refresh the page before hitting edit or the editor wouldn't load (it would just say Loading editor...). Today, whenever I post, the little Pacman appears and never goes away after hitting the Post Reply button, even though the post is posting (I can see it if I refresh the page). However, no matter how many times I refresh the page, I cannot edit any posts (Loading editor... only). I switched to Microsoft Edge to see if it was a Chrome issue, but it's doing the same thing in Edge. Also, it started while I was at work on my work computer, so it's even doing it on two separate computers. Help!
I think I fixed it. *blush* Chrome wanted to update, and I had not until just now. It seems to be working correctly. I'll leave this up in case anyone else has the same issue.
Gonna bump this because I've been trying to fight past it all goddamn morning (and they killed the Thread Necromancy rules anyways). Thing would just sit there 'LOADING EDITOR...' forever and never actually allow anyone to post. I had to switch to MS Edge to get anything posted up, and literally no one should ever find themselves forced to use Edge for anything. Even Microsoft employees involved in design and maintenance of Edge shouldn't have to use Edge.
Using Chrome (or was, anyways), cannot get the reply editor to work. Is this tied up with the whole Flash fiasco, maybe?
Interesting - does this happen regardless of when you post? I've run into a similar issue (and I've since passed it along to the development team), where if I try to edit a post after already having edited it I'll get that "Loading Editor" error message - however typically refreshing the page will allow me to make edits again.
It periodically happens on my iPhone, I find closing all of my open DDB tabs, opening a new tab, going to a different website first (usually dnd.wizards.com), then to DDB and then back to the forum seems to clear it up when it does.

I'm having issues as well. Whenever I try on Chrome, it just doesn't load enough for me to reply to anything. On Edge, it still doesn't work a lot of the time, with the same problems, and sometimes other issues. I. e. The editor is slow, and normally only works once, etc.
I don't know if this is just my computer for some reason, or if other people are having similar problems.

Please check out my homebrew, I would appreciate feedback:
Just got hit by it again. It used to be intermittent, and would usually clear up if I refreshed the page a few times, but over the last few days it's been nearly constant. I tried the method Gilli suggested and it managed to get me a post editor box to reply to this with, so that's one thing. But yeah. Not only has this been happening to me nigh-constantly, but the website formatting keeps breaking down as well. Somebody's playing soccer with your infrastructure, DDB.
This happens to me regularly, it normally fixes for me if I just refresh again. I normally edit something I posted, realise the edit I just made was wrong and then go to edit it again but then it only comes up with the; Loading Editor..... after that I refresh and then I can edit it again but I am not sure why this bug occurs.

REMEMBER: Wizards Of The Coast does not own DDB, they are two different companies. When you buy a physical book, WotC receives the money you bought it for, not DDB and vice versa. If you want a digital key to get an online book for free because you have the hardcopy book then DDB makes no money because you don't buy off DDB you buy off WotC, so please stop making threads about this issue. DDB needs money to continue helping people and servers aren't cheap.
Just pinging because I continue to have this problem. I'm on a Mac, and my preferred browser is Safari (you may hate it, but lots of people use it...). The forum post editor is behaving in the following strange ways, and has been, inconsistently, for at least a few weeks.
The post editor at the end of a page of posts does not load, leaving a "Loading editor..." message and no appearance of the editing box. Very infrequently reloading the page will fix this. Usually, if it is happening, it is happening on all the pages I open, regardless of how many. Right now I have four tabs open, to a forum thread, a private message, another forum thread, etc.
When I edit a previous post, and save it, when the page reload with my changed post, it is collapsed to just the header bar for the post. Reloading the page sometimes fixes that, displaying the whole post. Sometimes it does not. When it does, often my edits do not show up. Quitting the browser and trying again will show the edited post, so it's got something to do with caching, probably?
Chrome does not have any of these problems (if you tell me I should just use Chrome I'm going to give you the stinkeye).

Nope. Not fixed. Worked for a couple edits, but now all I get is Loading editor...
EDIT: Except here. It's working here, but not on the PbP thread.
EDIT #2: It appears to be hit or miss. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. One post gave me the error a couple times, but then let me edit it again multiple times in a row. This post let me edit it once, but will not do it anymore: https://www.dndbeyond.com/forums/d-d-beyond-general/play-by-post/27511-chapter-one-a-lmop-adventure?comment=2848.
I confirm this on several PbP game threads.

Hope that helps.

I have this problem frequently to. It doesn't just happen with the forums, but also the homebrew editors, and comment sections.
