I created a dark gift for a PC using a Feat as I do not see any dark gift option in dndbeyond? The PC has the dark gift with a shocking grasp cantrip. It displays on the PC character sheet. Problem is that the to hit only displays the proficiency bonus. Why not the ability modifier?
Feats cannot pick up what class you are. When adding the spell to the feat you need to actually tell it what Stat to use.

Their answer is more detailed than mine but ultimately same advice.

I just tested that while you were posting it. Another weird noodle of DDB’s since a Magic Item can automatically detect if your character has a spellcasting ability. Strange.
As per your screen shot. That is exactly what I have. Not working.
After you add anything to, change anything on, or remove anything from any homebrew you MUST re-save the entire thing using the main [SAVE CHANGES] button under Basic Information or the system won’t automatically pick up your changes. After that it can sometimes take up to 20 minutes for those changes to push through to the character builder/sheet.
For feats sometimes it can also help the remove them and add them back again. (Like turning a computer off and back on again.)

Thank you.
If the character is not already a spellcaster then they currently have no spellcasting Ability. Did you designate one as part of the feat?

The character is a druid, actually.
