So I'm making a homebrew background and I'm trying to add proficiencies, so I select proficiency options when creating the background but then when i select it on my character my options are all the proficiencies EXCEPT the ones I picked when creating the background.

for example I want the skill prof options to be from stealth, survival and investigation, but when i select the background i can pick any skill that isn't stealth survival and investigation.
any idea on a fix?

Does that character already have those three proficiencies from something else like race or class?
