I am currently in a campaign where we time jump, so I had two versions of the character. The 'older' level 6 character got a couple of goodies, including the Tentacle Rod and the Gloves of Soul Catching. They added to her inventory just fine. Had to revert to a level 4 version and that version could NOT load them to her inventory. Even after deleting the level 6 version, it still will not let me add them to her sheet. WTF?
I'm gonna guess the items were being shared in a campaign and then that stopped or your character left campaign, so you can no longer add them. And would not appear on other characters.
They're not free items, so unless you bought them, the book they're in you cannot access them without them being shared with you in a campaign.

good guesses, but nope. I had both the 4th and 6th level versions in the same campaign. Both would have access to all of the books. Created a new version for level 7 and that character can (and did) add the items. but the OG 4th level still can't.
Triple check that this specific version of the character sheet is in the campaign. Have whoever is controlling content sharing turn it off and on again. See if that fixes it.
not that I am aware of, but it shouldn't matter as I was trying to add it as I was leveling up. She's now level 7 and still unable to add what the level 6 had. Fixed it by completely rebuilding the character, but would still like to know WHY it happened.l

ANYONE have ANY clue why it would be present once, but not for me again?
Also, DM can see it, other players can see it and add it, but it does NOT show up when in the Inventory Manager.

How exactly did you “revert” the character?

Then the character should still have the items from before.
