Sorry if this is a dumb question or if I am missing something, but are you meant to be able to take Eldritch adept as a level~feat and bypass the prerequisite (look below), The reason I ask is because I was building a fighter (echo knight) and was able to take it at level 5 without having spell casting or pact magic at that point. I double-checked to see if I had turned the rule off for it, but it was on. and still let me pick it. I feel like I am missing something and just want to find out if I am :D

Prerequisite: Spellcasting or Pact Magic feature
Studying occult lore, you have unlocked eldritch power within yourself: you learn one Eldritch invocation option of your choice from the warlock class. If the invocation has a prerequisite, you can choose that invocation only if you're a warlock and only if you meet the prerequisite.
Whenever you gain a level, you can replace the invocation with another one from the warlock class.
I have them enabled, I tried with both of them enabled and disabled, but it did not change if I could take the feat or not, which is why I made the post. I was very confused by it. Oh, and I forgot to put it in, but I am running human as the race for the build, so I know the prerequisites for magic are not coming from there.
D&D Beyond cannot yet enforce non-racial non-feat feat prerequisites. Feats and magic items that have "spellcasting" as a prerequisite can still be selected/attuned/etc.

Do you have feat prerequisites disabled for that character? check the Home tab of the builder.

You're an eldritch knight, not echo knight, so you have the spellcasting feature.

Shayone | Hobgoblin | Sorcerer | Netherdeep
I had a feeling that would be the case.
