I'm trying to create a home-brew item which will give an advantage on attack rolls. Finding two problems:

1) Every possible type of attack (spell, melee, ranged, strength, etc) is listed separately in the menu. There's no option to add advantage to all types of attack at once.

2) I can get the advantage icon to display for ability checks, but not for any kind of attack. Am I doing something wrong, or is this just not an option?

1. Make four modifiers, one for each of the four attack types. (Melee Weapon, Ranger Weapon, Melee Spell, and Ranged Spell.)
2. The icons do not appear for Attack Rolls at this time, only Saves and Checks.

Is there a point to constructing the four modifiers if they're not going to display anything for my player?

Not a complaint, genuinely curious if there's an effect to this that I'm not seeing.

Also, the thing is invisibility (which is why it gives advantage to attacks). Is there a way to make it automatically flip the switch in the conditions menu, or is that also not a thing quite yet?

I have a similar inquire.
I've created a feat, which Ive added the Advantage - Dexterity attacks, which for my understanding means that it should give advantage to attacks with the dexterity modifier (correct me if I'm wrong)

Said this, the icon is still not there -In the character sheet-

The Advantage & Disadvantage icons never appear next to attacks.
