(Repost) I'm making a subclass where the character gets half proficiency in all saving throws, and the option to add that effect doesn't seem to work; selecting that option doesn't add any modifier to any saving throws. Regular proficiency seems to work for all saving throws, but not half proficiency. Adding the half profs separately still doesn't add anything to the saves.
I can't see these since I'm not a mod BUT I did have a similar issue that may also be the cause of yours, if you want to check it. Or at least adjacent enough to figure it out.
I tried the fix they had in the thread but it still doesn't add anything to the saving throws, and there's no other options besides proficiency bonus and attuned items in the "additional bonus types" drop-down to pick from. It's a bug for sure.

...should make all the saves add half proficiency, but it doesn't.
I tried adding features that separately add half proficiency to each of the saves, and I tried adding options likewise; neither works. Adding full proficiency to all Saving Throws works just fine.
Is there official content that can add half proficiency to saving throws? The homebrew tools are only designed to support any changes that official content can do right now. The team is aware of the pain that the limitation is causing may people however, and updated homebrew tools are on their roadmap.
Can confirm neither modifier subtype 'saving throws' or specific saving throws (like CHA only) work with half proficiency, which is odd since you can customize them on the sheet to have half proficiency and even expertise.

Agreed that this is strange behavior. Because as mentioned above, it does work perfectly fine when customizing a saving throw directly from the character sheet, giving half proficiency. But it doesn't function if granted from a homebrew source, which is a shame.
That’s because there is nothing official that grants half proficiency with saving throws. The system is really only designed to implement the official stuff, not create anything new.
I'm aware that there's nothing official that grants this, it just seemed strange at first that the character sheet customization would allow it but homebrew wouldn't.
I dug a bit deeper into the implementation of both methods (homebrew tool's "Half Proficiency" versus character sheet customization's "Half Proficient" option), and it appears that character sheet customization is a bit more superficial, or at least implemented differently (since it's basically just an override). Unlikely that adding homebrew half proficiency in saving throws would be a huge change, based on the way it appears saving throw proficiency is calculated, but understandable that the time required to do so wouldn't be sacrificed if there's a homebrew overhaul later on down the road...

I'm also having the same problem with adding half proficiency to saving throws.

This behavior has been unchanged since the discussion above. Can this be added perhaps?
