See above...I made a homebrew monster that looks perfectly normal on the Details page. See lower right. Unfortunately, in the Encounter Builder view...it's stretched way off to the right and none of the attacks are clickable so it's useless. Has anyone else seen this ever? Any idea why this is happening or how to fix it?

You must have some funky formatting in one or more of the description fields, that’s probably what’s causing the problem. At the top of the description fields look for the button with the following symbol: </> That will let you see the html code for the section. There you can delete the errant code. If you aren’t sure what to look for, basically delete everything but the paragraph markers (<p> to start a paragraph and </p> to end one). Then you can add back in the formatting to make stuff bold and italicized. Make sure to do it using the buttons a one the description fields, not through your device, that might be what caused the errant code in the first place.

Hmmhh. This is the only block of text with code in it, under Action Description. I don't see anything in here that's funky. Can you spot anything?
Multiattack. Two Grasping Tendrils or 1 Tendril and a Bite or 1 Tendril and a Swallow.
Bite.Melee Weapon Attack:+7 to hit, reach 5 ft., one creature grappled by the Venus Flytrap. Hit:4d6+4 piercing damage.
Grasping Tendrils.Melee Weapon Attack:+7 to hit, reach 15 ft., one creature. Hit:2d6+3 bludgeoning damage, and the target is grappled (escape DC 14). The Venus Flytrap can grapple up to two creatures at once.
Swallow. The Venus Flytrap can only consume living creatures. A swallowed creature is blinded and restrained, it has total cover against attacks and other effects outside or inside the Venus Flytrap, and it takes 13 2d12 acid damage at the start of each of the Venus Flytrap's turns. If the Venus Flytrap takes 21 damage or more on a single turn from a creature outside or inside it, the Venus Flytrap must succeed on a DC 15 Constitution saving throw at the end of that turn or regurgitate the swallowed creature, which falls prone in a space within 10 feet of the Venus Flytrap. If the Venus Flytrap dies, a swallowed creature is no longer restrained by it and can escape from the corpse using 10 feet of movement, exiting prone.

That’s just the rollable code. I need to see the html. And there could be errant html in any of the fields, not just the one with rollable codes in it. It’s gonna look like this:
<p class="whitespace-pre-wrap"><strong>Multiattack</strong>. Two Grasping Tendrils <em>or</em> 1 Tendril and a Bite <em>or</em> 1 Tendril and a Swallow.</p> <p class="whitespace-pre-wrap"><em><strong>Bite.</strong></em> <em>Melee Weapon Attack:</em> +7 to hit, reach 5 ft., one creature grappled by the Venus Flytrap. <em>Hit:</em> 4d6+4 piercing damage.</p> <p class="whitespace-pre-wrap"><em><strong>Grasping Tendrils.</strong></em> <em>Melee Weapon Attack:</em> +7 to hit, reach 15 ft., one creature. <em>Hit:</em> 2d6+3 bludgeoning damage, and the target is grappled (escape DC 14). Well, I deleted that code, i deleted the monster from the Encounter and readded it, and it's still doing the same thing. Here's the updated code. Did I miss anything else?
Geez, I am hitting Pre and it's not posting the full code this time.

There’s some minor inefficiencies, but nothing that would explain it that I can see really. If you can post the code I can clean it up a little for you.
The only other thing I can see is that you have a paragraph marker code at the beginning of the first paragraph, and an end paragraph marker at the end of the last paragraph, but nothing in between. This should appear at the beginning of every paragraph: <p> and this should appear at the end of every paragraph: </p> to demarcate them.
Kinda like this, but with the rollable codes in there too:
<p><em><strong>Multiattack.</strong></em> Two Grasping Tendrils <em>or</em> 1 Tendril and a Bite <em>or</em> 1 Tendril and a Swallow.</p> <p><em><strong>Bite.</strong> Melee Weapon Attack:</em> +7 to hit, reach 5 ft., one creature grappled by the Venus Flytrap. <em>Hit:</em> 18 (4d6+4) piercing damage.</p> <p><em><strong>Grasping Tendrils.</strong> Melee Weapon Attack:</em> +7 to hit, reach 15 ft., one creature. <em>Hit:</em> 10 (2d6+3) bludgeoning damage, and the target is grappled (escape DC 14). The Venus Flytrap can grapple up to two creatures at once.</p> <p><em><strong>Swallow.</strong></em> The Venus Flytrap can only consume living creatures. A swallowed creature is blinded and restrained, it has total cover against attacks and other effects outside or inside the Venus Flytrap, and it takes 13 (2d12) acid damage at the start of each of the Venus Flytrap's turns. If the Venus Flytrap dies, a swallowed creature is no longer restrained by it and can escape from the corpse using 10 feet of movement, exiting prone.</p>
Also, did you check the Special Traits field to make sure it’s clean too?
Geez, this is so frustrating. I tried to clean up the paragraph marks. I'm copying it below with Paragraph set to Pre so hopefully it will show all the code.

I appreciate your attempt to help, but since this is supposed to be the "Bugs and Support" thread - is there any way to actually get support from D&D Beyond staff? Or is there somewhere else I should report this issue?

No, you’re in the right spot. The staff doesn’t respond to these threads. If you’re lucky a Mod might come along, maybe, possibly. But generally we’re all on our own to help each other through these things. But if your Special Traits, Actions, and Description fields are all clean of extraneous code, there’s not much more help I can offer you.

Special Traits: <p><em><strong>False Appearance.</strong></em> The Venus Flytrap appears as a normal very large Venus Flytrap.</p>
Actions Description is what I already shared above.
There's nothing else in any of the other content fields that I can see.

Paste it again and then switch the text type from “paragraph” to “pre,” that should preserve the code when you post it.

You see where it says class=“whitespace-pre-wrap” there as part of the paragraph marker?👇
I think that’s pro’ly what’s killin’ ya there. Get rid of that from every paragraph from every field and see if that doesn’t fix it for ya.
