When leveling my Aasimar Battle Master Fighter from 5th to 6th level, I got an ability score increase/feat. I tried selecting a new feat with it, but it didn't appear on my View Character sheet. However, selecting an ability score increase did actually increase the selected scores.
Is this a bug? Normally ability score increases are not triggered unless your class level is at a multiple of 4.
Fighters get more ASI increases because they are awesome. Rogues are the only other exception to the Rule, although to a lesser degree than a Fighter. You are right about the other classes getting them as multiples of 4.
Out of interest, which Feat were you trying to take?

As Lamoon01 said, Fighters get additional ASIs as class features. Your character appears to have two feats, Lucky and Sharpshooter. I assume one was picked up at 4th, and the other at 6th. It appears the feats did get applied.
