I made a subclass, for bard, with all the proper levels, and it says I cannot publish it: "This homebrew Subclass does not have the necessary class features with the correct required levels.". I've looked at other threads, and I haven't figured out how to make it so I can publish it. Every subclass feature has a modifier or action attached as well. Does anyone have any idea how to fix this?
Make sure you save using the topmost Save button in the homebrew editor. There is more than one Save button, but in order to run the check to see if you are allowed to publish, you must save from that button. Also, please, please, please don’t publish your homebrew until you have thoroughly play tested it, checked repeatedly for typos, and made absolutely certain that it does what you want. Editing published homebrew is extremely difficult and frustrating. Even unpublished, your homebrew can be shared with those in campaigns with you.

I am also having this issue with a monk subclass. Theres a feature for 3, 6, 11 and 17. Not sure if its the modifiers or not. If someone could look at it I would greatly appreciate any help. I want to playtest it but I dont even know if a DM would let me play it.

I'm having the same issue with a monk subclass. I'm not trying to publish it or anything, but I've got all the features and everything. It's also happened to me a few times that when I try and create a subclass it always says that it is too similar to Circle of Spores? Not sure how, given it's a monk subclass focused on grappling opponents, so just wondering if anyone else has had this problem.
Ok, figured it out after looking at dome other threads with the same issue. You need to save hangers on the main information thing, not just the individual subclass features, as this is the 'master save' button. Did this and the thing about Circle of Spores disappeared as well, but I'm still not sure why this happened in the first place. Is that a separate issue, or is it somehow tied into the 'you do not have the necessary features' thing as well?

Ooooh I didnt realize that im not supposed to add extra features. Im not going to publish it yet, but I did want to get it to a useable state. It would be good if the system had a message for too many feature as well. Ill fix it and then try to playtest it in the next few months.

That “circle of spores thing” is what it says when there isn’t enough text in the description. By re-saving it rechecked that compliance as well.
A Bard subclass must have features at 3rd, 6th, and 14th levels and must not have any features at any other levels. Do you have anything set for them to get at any other level than 3rd, 6th, or 14th?
Also, if you’re still working on this sort of thing may I make a suggestion? Do yourself a favor and don’t publish it yet. Give it a few months of playtesting and editing first.

Tried that. It didn't work.

You don’t need to publish it for that. I’ll PM you about it.

Please note that official subclasses for the Monk class have features at those levels: 3, 6, 11, and 17.
Your subclass seems to have a significant number of features at other levels, which is why the message is appearing.
As other users have said though - you do not need to publish homebrew to use it!

Bard subclasses should have features at 3, 6, and 14. Your subclass has a feature at level 10.
