I keep getting the same error when trying to customize my characters' portraits, frames, backgrounds, etc. It was working one minute and then the next I started getting many errors. It said it was an API error?

Well if you're also having issues, it's probably some server side issue and not anything we're doing.

Are you running any ad/popup blockers, chrome extensions, or VPN? Those sometimes throw those kinds of errors.

No VPN. I tried it without ad blockers and with a fresh (no mods) install of Firefox and got the same result.

Sorry I should have clarified, this affects all of my characters and not a specific one. I also have an ad blocker, but I do not run it on D&D Beyond as I have a subscription.

This isn't like the other portrait change errors I've seen on this forum, this is immediately when I click on the portrait change link, before I even get the option to pick a new image to use. The portrait that's there now is one of the built-in ones on DNDB, not a custom one I uploaded.

 Edit: It happens even on new characters. This is on desktop (Chrome for Windows 84.0.4147.125 (Official Build) (64-bit))

and it shows up whenever I try to change the theme or backdrop of a particular sheet.

Happening for me too, any time I try to use any of the customization features (portrait, frame, theme, etc) I get an error like this. Seems to happen for all characters, old and new.

Whenever I try to add character art to my character sheet it gives me an API error that says the following.

Whoops! We rolled a 1 on our API check. We're heading into town to visit the blacksmith for repairs.

Happens any time I click "change frame", "Change Theme", "change portrait", or "change backdrop". I can't customize the look of anything on a character right now.

Not that I have anything against the default look of the character sheet, buuuut... :p
