We have the physical copy of the Player's Handbook, and one of my players wants to get Cloud of Daggers from it, but it says we have to buy it again on the site to get the spell. Is there a way to get the Player's Handbook, or just the spells without having to pay for it? Again, we do have the physical copy of the handbook.
Owning the physical copies of any of the books does not give you free access to the same options on dndbeyond. Think of dndbeyond is their own fancy book store with a cool character sheet tool. I'm going to refer to you the Pricing FAQ which is a stickied thread in this forum
You can use the homebrew system to recreate anything you have in a print book. It will automatically be shared within a campaign, so you don't need to publish it (which would violate copyright law and get taken down) in order for everyone in the party to use it.
