In general, everything is fine, however, upon reaching 9th level, the spells Conjure barrage/Aura of vitality do not appear in the list of available spells. Moreover, in the character editing tab, they are listed explicitly:
Those two spells are not free content. In order to use them, you must either purchase the PHB, or at least those spells from that book, specifically from this website’s marketplace.
Seems strange, i bought Battle Smith, but still cant use all features of the class?
You can use all of the features, you just don’t have access to all of the additional spells. Lemme try and explain:
The only stuff that DDB is allowed to grant us free access to is the material that the game’s publisher, WotC published for free. Those materials include the Basic Rules, the SRD, and the Elemental Evil Player’s Companion. It also includes any active UA materials, so anything that has not been either officially published, or officially abandoned.
DDB has to pay WotC for anything else they grant a license for to a user. Since WotC chose to only ever publish those spells in the PHB which is paid paid content, if DDB granted you those licenses without charging you, they would have to either pay for it themselves, or they would get into trouble with WotC which might jeopardize their contract.
So it’s not that DDB sold you a subclass and only gave you part of it. It’s that WotC designed a subclass that DDB could never sell you without having to charge you separately for some of its spells. The reason WotC would write a thing that way is because they don’t write things considering that DDB can sell things a la carté. They write things as whole books, and everything is written to be used as a supplement to the PHB.
(DDB also allows people with subscriptions to access homebrews published for free on the site. That includes some of Matt Mercer’s Critical Role Content which receives official support since DDB is an official sponsor of Critical Role.)
Hello everyone.

In general, everything is fine, however, upon reaching 9th level, the spells Conjure barrage/Aura of vitality do not appear in the list of available spells. Moreover, in the character editing tab, they are listed explicitly:
3rd
heroism, shield
5th
branding smite, warding bond
9th
aura of vitality, conjure barrage
13th
aura of purity, fire shield
17th

Those two spells are not free content. In order to use them, you must either purchase the PHB, or at least those spells from that book, specifically from this website’s marketplace.
