I created a character in the Character Builder with the first option
"Standard, Create a character by making choices using a step-by-step approach"
When I go to the Spells tab of this character's sheet it says "You do not have any 1-st level spells or spells that scale to 1st level available...". I tried using the Quick Build method instead and when I do that I do see 1st level spells in the sheet. Am I doing something wrong or is there an issue with missing 1st level spells in the Character Builder?
The Quick Build chooses spells for you, the Standard Method allows you to choose your own spells.
On the Character sheet you can click “Manage Spells” and then if your character is a “known spellcaster” (Bard, Ranger, Sorcerer, or Walock) you can choose which Cantrips and spells your PC knows.
If they are a “prepared spellcaster” (Artificer, Cleric, Druid, or Paladin) you will have to choose which Cantrips your character knows, and which leveled spells you character has prepared for the day.
If you are a 1st level Wizard, you would have to choose which Cantrips and which 6 1st-level spells you know, and then you will also have to choose which of those spells you have prepared.
Hey,
I created a character in the Character Builder with the first option
"Standard, Create a character by making choices using a step-by-step approach"
When I go to the Spells tab of this character's sheet it says "You do not have any 1-st level spells or spells that scale to 1st level available...". Thanks!
The Quick Build chooses spells for you, the Standard Method allows you to choose your own spells.
I hope that helps.
