Hey, I'm currently adding the Unearthed Arcana Subclasses that aren't present on D&D Beyond so I have them for reference and future groups, and I'm having an issue with the Druid Subclass in particular. I used an already existing Druid Subclass as the template, and just tweaked what was necessary for wording, modifiers, and actions, but when I check the subclass in my Homebrew section, it gives me the error "This homebrew Subclass does not have the necessary class features with the correct required levels."
I checked several other threads that seem to also have problems with the Druid Subclass, and then I went to the Creating Subclasses Guide and I saw that it says "Druid Features at 2, 3, 6, 10, 14". Is that the issue? Is it checking for a Druid Feature at level 3 when there shouldn't be one? I'm just recreating the Circle of Twilight for my own purposes, but it's still annoying that I might not be able to post it for those that are interested.
That message is only relevant if you are going to be publishing your subclass, you should not be publishing content that is not your original work, as that is against the rules.
To better clarify the message itself, the Druid homebrew currently checks against the standard set by the Circle of the Land, which is the subclass provided for free/by the Basic Rules.
So the initial example of a copied class from another source aside, it does seem that homebrew Druid subclasses do indeed require a level 3 feature still. This feels weird to me, since many subclasses for Druid do NOT have Circle Spells, or in fact, in the case of the Circle of Wildfire it has Circle Spells that start at level 2.
In addition, in the example on the previously linked Creating Subclasses Guide thread, they specifically bring up that the required level features are supposed to match the class table's mentions of the features, but in the case of the Druid class table, it only mentions "Druid Circle" at level 2 and then "Druid Circle Feature" at 6, 10, and 14. Nothing is mentioned at level 3.
For my own homebrew subclass, I was able to bypass it with an empty feature that is hidden in character creation and character sheet, but it feels a little silly. I understand that you aren't supposed to add features at levels aside from the slotted ones, so maybe this is the only way to keep option for Circle Spells at level 3, but at the very least, I think it warrants a proper explanation or call-out somewhere, because I for one found it incredibly confusing and unintuitive.

But if you read about four more lines... you'd see a table that specifically calls out the need for a level 3 feature on druids.
It is a limitation of the system they are currently redoing.
The table listing the required druid levels was already mentioned.. My point was only that it was inconsistent and confusing, and would benefit from a specific call-out for the people like myself and the OP who get confused and frustrated by it.

Some druids get circle spells at 3rd level (Land and Spores) and so it was added as a level that needs a feature.
