Hi, all! I am relatively new to D&D and I use D&D Beyond Character Builder as a secondary Character Sheet, however my problem is regarding being able to choose an Oath in Character Builder.
As you fellow Paladins and other Adventurers know, a Paladin is able to choose an Oath: Devotion, Ancients, Vengeance, and Crown, at lvl 3. However, I discovered that only Oath of Devotion is available on the list of options we have.
Am I missing something to be able to choose other Oaths other than Devotion? I searched for an answer in the forums but found none.
Thank you for your post - we appreciate people taking the time to give us feedback.
During the beta test of D&D Beyond, we'll only be including content that is freely available from Wizards of the Coast, including the D&D 5th edition SRD,D&D 5th edition Basic Rules, Elemental Evil Companion and potentially others. The beta will not include additional content from a Commercially Released Book, Module or Supplement.
All of the remaining published content from the PHB, DMG, MM and other D&D 5th edition books will be added to D&D Beyond for product release - the cost for accessing this material has just been announced.
To clarify, I will need to purchase SCAG in order for it's content to be loaded to my D&D Beyond UI before I am able to choose other oaths at lvl 3 for my Paladin?

yes, you can either buy the entire SCAG or just the Paladin oaths bundle from SCAG. Details about the pricing here:
I think you may have already answered my question from the questions above, but is that why I do not see "Divine Smite" in the digital character sheet where you can check off that you used it such as the other spells or divine sense? Because I will need to purchase the subscription? I have never played d&d so I am messing with different levels with the Paladin I am creating and if there was not a way to keep track of the divine smite feature I will surely forget if I ever get the chance to play. Thanks!
Was just wandering by and noticed this, are we talking about the Paladin Class feature Divine Smite? If so I believe it is free material as it appears on this website under the Paladin class section.
Divine Smite
Starting at 2nd level, when you hit a creature with a melee weapon attack, you can expend one spell slot to deal radiant damage to the target, in addition to the weapon’s damage. The extra damage is 2d8 for a 1st-level spell slot, plus 1d8 for each spell level higher than 1st, to a maximum of 5d8. The damage increases by 1d8 if the target is an undead or a fiend.
If this is not what you're talking about, then move along as there is no man behind this curtain *poof* :-D
Glad somebody asked this, since I was just as puzzled. Not so happy about that I need to purchase everything multiple times: I have the physical books, I bought the modules for my DM'ing on Fantasy Ground, and now I have to buy the same content again. I get physical vs online, but it would be nice if one could link online purchases together.
I bought the Legendary package and subscribed to the Hero version of Beyond, but my players and myself are still not seeing more than just one Oath for Paladins and one Domain for Clerics.

Please edit your campaign and check that you have enabled content sharing within it (only available with a Master Tier subscription).
Please note that ANYONE in the campaign can do this - it doesn't have to be the person who purchased the books/bundle.

Try to clear the cache, there is an issue in updating the stuff you just bought.
Anyway, if by "my players" you mean the sharing, that is only possible with the Master Tier.

How do you clear it?
Usually going in the browser setting and clear the history data.
Yep - finally went ahead and bought the legendary package and master tier. Being able to share is a very nice option. I still hope that we can eventually export characters created in dnbeyond and use them in other tools such as fantasy grounds and perhaps one day have the two worlds intertwined. We usually play around the table but from time to time we need to continue online.
One thing though: sharing of content is not really made that intuitive. Invitation through the link worked nicely, the player's character was added to the campaign on both ends, but initially the shared content would not kick in. I had to open the character on my account and edit the feats to get the ones from beyond the basic set to appear and be usable. Is that how it should work? How can I share some content but not other or is the idea that players will simply get access to all my rules stuff but not the adventure part?
I haven't created a full adventure - that may then change things.

No, technically, when you enable sharing, your players should automatically get what everyone purchased.
Right not, the sharing is all-in or nothing. Staff are working to a selection of sharing.

OK - good to know. Thx
I purchased the hero tier just now and still only see the default two oaths for my Paladin. I've cleared the browser cache and still nothing.
The subscriptions do not give you the non-free content. You have to make a purchase from the Marketplace.
