*(I got smartphoned when I first posted this from my phone and couldnt change it till ImSposta showed me an obvious work around)
What’s your thoughts on reflavouring the Aberrant Mind as being someone who channels or is possessed by the Spirit World? What thoughts, class choices, metamagic/spells and such would you take in this endeavour? Is it just a naff idea or something you could see working?
I am fully aware there was a bard college that did exactly that and I do not want to play a bard in this campaign. I don’t like playing a class to its generic tropes, especially as my DM has been doing it fir a while he likes the originality I usually bring to PC ideas.
My DM is from the old school and a little against the few psionic based classes that just came out. I’m always keeping a fresh backup character as his campaign is on the ‘pulls no punches’ side of DMing (yet some how my PC has lasted from level 1-14 so far whereas others have gone through two or three PCs so far).

Oh yours pretends to be! The thought didn’t even cross my mind to be a charlatan. Do they literally have the charlatan background too? Brilliant. That’s almost too good haha In a world where ghosts exist I reckon I’ll go for legit medium though, like channeling a prominent wizard or something.

If you turn your phone sideways the [TOOLS] button becomes visible and you will be able to change the title of the thread.
Get outta town. This thread was worth this tip alone. This whole time I was thinking the mobile forum was kinda poop. Thank you Sposta.

As a note, I do pretty much everything on DDB on my phone, sometimes tablet. If my phone is in landscape and I zoom out to 75% I can do everything on this that I could do on my laptop. (Luckily these new phones are gimongous and I have good vision, but curse these fat thumbs and their non-conductive calluses. 🙄)

I have an aberrant mind who pretends to be a medium and I find that it works well.
I have a weird sense of humor.
I also make maps.(That's a link)

As usual, happy to help.
