I know the main use of this spell is to keep a body fresh so you can use 300 gp diamond for Revivify rather then a 500 gp diamond for a Raise Dead.

DURATION 10 Days
You touch a corpse or other remains. For the duration, the target is protected from decay and can't become undead.
The spell also effectively extends the time limit on raising the target from the dead, since days spent under the influence of this spell don't count against the time limit of spells such as raise dead.
* - (a pinch of salt and one copper piece placed on each of the corpse's eyes, which must remain there for the duration)
My Transmutation Wizard likes to use it to keep the body parts he is collecting for experiments (think Island of Dr Moreau) fresh.
Since my character is evil I was wondering about the component for Summoning Lesser and Greater Demons * - (a vial of blood from a humanoid killed within the past 24 hours). Could this spell be used to get 10 days of shelf life out of a vial?
No, because the two copper pieces must stay on the corpse’s eyes for the entire duration. I would let you fart the corpse around and drain it of blood as needed though.
The spell would be great for restaurants to store meat, keeping it fresh.

Step two: apply Sovereign Glue to copper pieces and glue to eyes. Elmer's can be used as well.
Step three: suspend eyes in drained blood.
Step four: ?????
Step five: Profit.
Vial of Blood =/= Corpse.

Professional computer geek
So gluing two coins to the side of the vial wouldn’t count for “other remains”?
Step one: remove eyeballs from sockets.
Step two: apply Sovereign Glue to copper pieces and glue to eyes. Elmer's can be used as well.
Step three: suspend eyes in drained blood.
Step four: ?????
Step five: Profit.
A fool pulls the leaves. A brute chops the trunk. A sage digs the roots.
My Improved Lineage System
It should be easy to stick the coins to the eyes. Just use some mummy wrappings.
The spell would be great for restaurants to store meat, keeping it fresh.

I think a few of us are stuck on “other remains”. What if we want to keep that jello mold of a Gelatinous Cube fresh for the king?
