Hello there. I have played this game in highschool and wanted to dive back in, however, this site is hard for me to figure out. Background: I have ASD and maybe it just how I'm processing what I am seeing. I purchased the Starter Kit and Essentials Kit at my local Barns and Noble. I entered the product key on my phone when the website crashed. I then moved to my PC. And I can't seem to be able to access the material or see away to. Is this just something I'm not understanding? And I can't seem to find the product key for my starter kit. Did it come with one? Side note: I used to play AD&D and the rule set has changed somewhat.
i also purchased the Hoard of the Dragon Queen and don't know how to add that here as well. Any and all help will be amazing. Thank-you and may the Force be with you.
This site is not owned by the company that publishes the game, so only the essentials kit comes with a code to redeem here, nothing else does. Everything else must be purchased here separately from the hardcopy versions. If you intend to use this site, and intend to purchase hardcopies you will have to purchase those sources again here. I don’t work here, so I cannot help you if the crash made something to wonky with the code you entered, but the support staff here can. A moderator should be along to help you with that soon. In the meantime, the information in this link might be helpful to you:
I see that IamSposta has already explained the product key portion of your inquiry. As for the rest:
It's possible that your code from the Essentials Kit was properly redeemed already! Here's more than one way to check:
Go to your Account Marketplace page, and scroll down to the Current Product Licenses section. If you've successfully redeemed the Dragon of Icespire Peak adventure from the Essentials Kit, you should see its entry underneath that header (EKB-000001 Essentials Kit Bundle Bundle).
The Mega Menu at the top of the website has one section called Sources, which when clicked or hovered over is split into two subsections: Sourcebooks and Adventures. The code from the Essentials Kit gives access to the Dragon of Icespire Peak adventure, so if you own the product (having redeemed the key), you should be able to navigate to Sources > Adventures > Dragon of Icespire Peak. From there, the adventure should be able to be read!
If neither of the above work for you, there are a few troubleshooting steps to take:
Try Redeeming the Key again. If the crash occurred at the time of code entry, it's possible that it was never registered, and may still be able to be redeemed.
If the code has already been redeemed, check whether you haven't accidentally created two separate D&D Beyond accounts. This can sometimes happen if you've used two different Google accounts during the login process.
Besides the DoIP adventure, the Essentials Kit comes with a physical copy of the Basic Rules. These are free for everyone using D&D Beyond, and can be found by navigating to Sources > Sourcebooks > Basic Rules.
