I'm working on making custom homebrew feats and items for a campaign, but it seems to be available to ALL of my players. Certain things would be a one-time opportunity to get and would only be available to one player at a time. I know that removing it from my collection will not spoil any surprises ahead of time, but I don't want to disappoint anyone when I tell them they can't choose that feat or item when leveling up or looking through the items on D&D Beyond.
For example, if one of my players obtained a specific feat through gameplay that would not be available to the other players, is there a way for me to allow only one player to see and use it? Or a way to assign it to a certain character? If I allow them the feat and then remove it from my collection, will the character that has the feat on their character sheet still gain the abilities of said feat?
Note: I am new to using forums on this website, so if I have posted this in the wrong area, please let me know where to post it and I will send it to the proper forum.
It'll need to be in your collection for you to add it to their character sheet. I don't believe then removing it from your collection will affect the functionality of the feat for your PC. Once it's on there, it's on there.
