Improving the notes feature would be great, I agree. I haven't seen it mentioned on Developer's updates, so it's probably a long ways off. I use Dropbox Paper for my notes.
Notes in app? I don't see a section for notes in the app. Are you talking about the new app in alpha testing or are you not talking about the app at all?
Or are you suggesting note taking be added to the app? In that case it will probably be in the character sheet app.
Halfway into my first adventure using dndbeyond and this is the first feature I went looking for. A simple text input section on my character sheet would suffice.

This already exists - on your character sheet, where the tabs are for 'Actions, Spells, Inventory....' there is a Notes tab there where you can input text.
There are different sections there:
Organisations
Allies
Enemies
Backstory
Other - you can input text for your campaign notes here. I personally use Microsoft Word for the Find function but you may find it more useful to use the Character Sheet.

I couldn’t find this.
Is there a way to improve the note taking abilities in the app to keep notes for game sessions?
thanks

I missed the app reference. OmegaPrimer, could you clarify where you meant?

Still waiting for this feature. Having access to notes either connected to a character or a campaign would be so nice.
