It would be useful to be able to make changes to your spell casting modifier the way you can with other attributes, and/or change what stat your spell casting modifier queues from (so as to facilitate house rules for using alternate stats for spell casting and such).
You can do that by adding a custom attack directly on the character sheet. For example I added produce flame as a custom attack utilizing constitution for a fire genasi player I have.
You can do that, but you have to manually calculate the To Hit override which is a little annoying. It would be really convenient to be able to just say int is my spellcasting stat for my warlock instead of charisma.
