Hi, I previously had been using my iPad as an extra device to use my character sheets, using the google chrome app.
I'm still logged in and can view pretty much all the content I normally can, even editing characters like I can on normal desktop site.
However, as soon as I try to view the actual character sheet, I get the "A beholder has appeared and ruined everything" error page.
This seems to be a relatively recent change, so I'm wondering if it has to do with the new combat tracker feature?
As I'm writing this, I tested this theory by creating a new character outside of a campaign so there was no tracker, and I was able to view the sheet on my iPad without issue. Is there a way to disable this tracker while on iPad versions of the website, or what kind of solution is recommended here?
I’m not sure if any of my chrome extensions from the pc would function on the app version, and I have not added any functionality to the app other than defaults. I’m also not running vpns.
I notice that the first one is not in a campaign but the second one is. Wondering if that’s the issue. There was a bug where if someone in the campaign you were part of had a homebrew monster without an alignment specified, it would crash everyone’s sheets. But 1j sheets crashed when folks tried to access extras, I believe and 2) it’s been fixed. I don’t think it’s the kind of thing where it could have been fixed for computers but not for mobile, but I’m not a developer. if no one person you better answers/suggestions here soon, I recommend you submit a support ticket by clicking lcontact us” below. Please be patient, and don’t submit multiple tickets. They can get backlogged and the major cause of those backlogs is duplicate tickets.
I have the same problem on iPad with Chrome. The problem is 100% reproducible:
Go to Collections->My Campaigns
Click View Campaign
Note: Content Sharing has been enabled by someone else with DMG, PHB, Sword Coast Adv Guide, Monster Manual, Tasha's Cauldren and Xanathar's Guide
Click Create Unassigned Character and Confirm
Note: Homebrew is on by default, but I have created no Homebrew content
Click Next
Select Hafling Lightfoot
Click Next
Select Rogue and Add Class
Under Proficiencies select Insight, Perception, Sleight of Hand and Stealth
Under Expertise select Stealth and Thief Tools
Click Next
Choose Generation Method->Manual/Rolled
Enter 11 for all ability scores
Click Next
Choose Background->Entertainer
Click Next
Under Starting Equipment click Gold and select 10 from the dropdown
Click Next
Click View Character Sheet
Error is displayed
I also tried creating a new campaign with no shared content and reproduced the failure by using all the same steps up to step 16 where I selected the Acolyte background instead. I repeated after blocking all shared content and the failure still occurs. I also turned off Homebrew and did not select a Background and encountered the error. So this seems to be related to creating an unassigned character through the campaign somehow. Creating the exact same character in the character builder outside of the campaign works.
I also am unable to view the characters of the other people in my campaign.
I verified that I was on the latest Chrome and then switched to Firefox and had no problems.
I'd say it has been resolved somehow. A while back (last year 2022 maybe? the exact time was a little fuzzy) I was suddenly able to view all my sheets and edit to my heart's content.

I'm not convinced the combat tracker is the issue. What happens if you use Safari on you iPad? What happens on other devices?
Do you have any homebrew on the character?
Please post a link to the character in question.
