I am trying to get DnD Beyond to add the bless effect on my rolls when required.
I found an item in the homebrew collection and also tried creating one myself, but it does not add the bonus. I did the following:
Create a non attunement wonderous item
Add a modifier: modifier type - "bonus", modifier subtype - "melee attacks", ability score "-", dice count - "1", dice type - "d4", duration interval 1 minute
Add a modifier: modifier type - "bonus", modifier subtype - "ranged attacks", ability score "-", dice count - "1", dice type - "d4", duration interval 1 minute
Add a modifier: modifier type - "bonus", modifier subtype - "saving throws", ability score "-", dice count - "1", dice type - "d4", duration interval 1 minute
Save the item, add it to my inventory and equip
When it is equiped on my character sheet just below my saving throw modifiers (but above the tesxt "saving throws") the text "saving thorw modifiers" becomes "on saves" but rolliong a saving throw results in a d20 + my permanent modifier without the d20.
If I change the 1d4 to a fixed bonus say +2 or +dex it works fine but that isn't what bless does!
Am I doing something wrong or does DnD Beyond not allow you to do this.

Gonna go out on a limb and say variable bonuses (ie dice rolls) just don't work currently. I've yet to see a rollable button with more than one type of die.

Not only do variable bonuses not work, but temporary effects are not possible at present.
I do however know someone who has designed hacks for pretty much almost everything though, including Bless:
