So, I've done some research and I genuinely can't figure out what's wrong. I bought Volo's Guide to Monsters and I can't choose Tabaxi or any of the other player races that I should have access to. It says that I own the player race content, but it still doesn't show up. What do I do?
Go to this page: https://www.dndbeyond.com/account and then click the Marketplace tab. Look under the Account Entitlements section. If it says you need to sync, click on the sync button. While you are there, scroll down and check Current Product Licenses; make sure Volo's shows up there and that it doesn't indicate you bought the compendium only option.

Do you own either of the books the Tabaxi species appears in? The most recent version is in Mordenkainen Presents: Monsters of the Multiverse. You need to own that book, or have access to it through content sharing, to use it on D&D Beyond's character builder.
There's also an older version in Volo's Guide to Monsters; as IamSposta pointed out, that book is no longer available for purchase, but if you purchased it before it was discontinued you can still use it.

Volo’s Guide has been discontinued. If you don’t already have it on this website then you will need to purchase it from MotM, or purchase that whole book: (https://www.dndbeyond.com/marketplace/sourcebooks/mordenkainen-presents-monsters-of-the-multiverse).

ModeratorYou’ll also need to have Expanded Rules enabled for that character to see the MOTM version, or Legacy Content enabled to see the VGTM one.
If you haven’t purchased the book but it is shared with you, then you’ll only be able to select it for characters in the campaign that’s sharing it.
