Hi, I’m trying to make a spellcasting rogue subclass in Beyond and I’ve used the Arcane Trickster sub as a base, but when I test the subclass, no spells show up to add to the “Known Spells” list. I noticed when I just made a copy of the Arcane Trickster subclass, no spells showed up for that, either. I’ve tried adding to the homebrew under “Spells” just the wizard spells by class, but that doesn’t seem to work for a fix, and I can’t figure out how to do it simply without having to add every possible spell to learn manually... Any idea how I can make this work? Thanks.
Under Basic Information you must set “can cast spells” to “yes,” you must designate a “spellcasting ability,” and under “additional spell list” put “Wizard.” Leave the “spell prepare type” and “knows all spells” fields completely blank and then hit [SAVE CHANGES]. After that, give it about 20 minutes to update and check again.
I am having the same issue only i chose to do a subclass for Blood Hunter. I have experimented with multiple other subclasses that achieve the same goal on multiple other classes. None of these attempts work. I was able to make this work for a monk class before the last update to the website at the end of march. ever since then i have not been able to get this feature to work on any subclass combination even if i use a copy of an existing subclass that already has this feature.
The Blood Hunter subclass i referenced is Order of Blood Magic. Making this a half caster subclass is failing.
The Monk subclass that this worked on prior to the update i mentioned is called Way of Reaping.

Neither of these are published.
Under Basic Information:
Spell Casting Ability: INT (since Blood Hunter uses INT for hemocraft)
Can Cast Spells: Yes
Additional Spell List: (provide a particular spellcasting class here if they'd have access to their list, like how Arcane Tricksters get Wizard spells)
Spell Prepare Type: -- (must be blank!)
Knows All Spells: -- (must be blank!)
Then, you need a 3rd-level subclass feature called "Spellcasting" in order to have third-caster spell slots. Refer to Arcane Trickster for how this feature is presented for third-casters.
Additional Specific Spells is mainly for "always known/prepared" types of spells, and doesn't get used for published third-casters, so it'd be hard to say how this would work in your subclass.
Edit: Order of the Profane Soul is a Blood Hunter third-caster subclass with the "Pact Magic" feature instead of "Spellcasting", if you want to see how Warlock-style slots are implemented.
It still wont work even after copying my Barbarian that this worked with and copying the Blood hunter pact magic just making it and naming it ”Spellcasting” i dont know why it wont work ive tried getting it to work for almost 2 whole days and it doesnt mater what i do.
Just coming back to say it was a typing error... I had the feature as "Spell casting" two words. For future readers, make sure you have the feature as one word "Spellcasting" don't be me, don't make my mistake lol
What if I’m trying make full caster rouge want them have leveled spells as I’m in campign and dm told me homebrew it for my charcter as he told me can’t be wizard and had be rouge but was orginally wizard but said rouge fit me but my person comes from line of spell casters how I make rouge a full caster

Ah, thank you so much! I knew there was an easy fix I was overlooking. :P
This has not worked for me no matter what i do i follow everything i can find about making my rogue be able to use spells yet nothing wants to work.

Thank you so much!

Not possible. The most you can be is a ⅓ caster just like the Arcane Trickster. For this and other answers please follow this link: (https://www.dndbeyond.com/forums/dungeons-dragons-discussion/homebrew-house-rules/119032-how-to-add-spellcasting-to-subclasses-for).
