Honestly shocked they haven't added the gifting feature or any form of gift cards. That's what I like about DriveThruRPG and Paizo store have. It's 2019.
I just created my account because my roomie's 16-yo son wants to run a campaign for his parents and I. I was thinking it would be nice if I could gift him some of the base books through D&DB .... and I'm absolutely shocked that we can't gift content to others. You guys DO know that people who grew up playing in the early days are now middle-age people, often with disposable income, who love sharing their hobbies with their kids/nieces/nephews, etc.... right? I can gift items on Amazon all day long, I can gift digital game content on Steam from account to account easily... but not here?
Ditto here. I am a DM and my players want to pool money to purchase extra content for the group to be able to use in out campaign. Bummer this isn't a thing.
I think my DM is great and I want to buy this new Theros sourcebook for her, but I can't for inexplicable reasons! Why can't I show my appreciation for her efforts!? This is madness!
I really wish I could gift a friend of mine a Master Tier subscription. He is one of my players and our groups most prolific DM. I would buy him an annual subscription every year as a recurring Birthday Present if I could.
Not that I'm contributing much, but I'd really like to be able to gift a new player a copy of the PHB on here. It's not only a great gift for someone to have, but it's a great introduction to a really solid service. I'll keep hoping that at some point the dev's hit the skill check and open that feature.
Hey there, my campaign is also feeling a bit bummed that we can't gift our DM some content or a Master Tier subscription. He plays a few other campaigns so shared content is unfortunately not useful to him since he won't just be playing with us. I would love a gift card option at the least.

Continuing to resurrect this topic as this just came up today. Please set up gifting :)
Is this still the case???
2020 and still there is no way to buy a gift card or a book to another person. This is shameful !

Count me in, players wanted to gift me (dm) some content, but not there.

Hard to believe this thread is 2 and 1/2 years old and we're all still sitting here asking for one of the simplest digital things ever.
Bumping this because I am generous

Wanted to gift a friend who lives overseas. International purchases are highly taxed there.
So it would be a lot better if I could buy it and gift him.

WOW. 3+ years and still no Gift option?
Come on guys, this is kind of pathetic that D&D Beyond does not have this ability when other platforms such as Roll20 do.

I want to buy my brother a couple of packages for Christmas. Can't believe I can't.
In the latest Dev Update Adam posted that gifting will be here in time for Christmas.
Finally!
Indeed! :-D
