I can hit that API endpoint just fine on its own... so just cross-origin issues...?

I can load character sheets just fine in the mobile version of the website (I'm using an iPhone), but the problem remains with my Mac (using Chrome).

Do you happen to run any Chrome extensions like Beyond20? That particular 3rd-party extension messes with DDB fairly frequently.

I used to use the Beyond20 extension up to a couple of months ago, but after experiencing some other problems (like the page to run encounters crashing whenever I switched to a homebrew monster) I stopped. Just looking at the errors that were coming back from the API, it looked very much like a problem with the endpoint. Maybe they were doing maintenance or something, maybe it just went down and needed to be brought back up. :shrug:

I know they’re doing a number of updates and patches and such currently. I expect some intermittent kerfuffles from time to time. It was probably something to do with one of those.
