Just tonight, I was creating a warlock that would use the flock of familiars spell from "LOST LABORATORY OF KWALISH", I normally switch on all but Rick & Morty and Noncore D&D content and the spell wouldn't show up. I'm do not own the R&M source book, so I have no reason to use this content but I didn't think some things were hidden behind noncore? I assumed noncore would be things like Critical Role content, and ultimately a catch-all for any other major collaborators or non-fantasy RPGs that use 5e as its game structure, like the My little pony rulebook.
I do not know what all may be locked behind the Noncore tab, but would like a tool tip possibly in the character builder that explains what each switch enables in a general sense, sourcebook name or something along these lines. This is not a major issue but I can guess a few users have run into similar problems with other elements and were confused.
Critical Role content already has its on toggle, so it does not make sense for noncore to include that.
As far as I know, noncore content are just stuff from Extra Life: - Sapphire Dragon - One Grung Above - Tortle Package - Mordenkainen's Fiendish Folio Volume 1 - Locathah Rising - Lost Laboratory of Kwalish - Infernal Machine Rebuild
I am not certain, but I think Hunt for the Thessalhydra also falls under noncore. Other than that, I think that is it.
Thank you for this list. I honestly didn’t know it was charity based content. Makes sense. But also not sure why it’s considered non-core either
In part because most of it is not “official” in the sense that it’s not AL legal, and isn’t held up to quite the same standards as other published material. That and most of it is only available as a pdf or here, and not in print.

The above is mostly correct. Wizards' support site contains the actual list, which is:
Infernal Machine Rebuild
Lost Laboratory of Kwalish
Locathah Rising
Mordenkainen's Fiendish Folio Volume 1
One Grung Above
Rrakkma
Misplaced Monsters: Volume One
Tortle Package and Sapphire Dragon don't seem to be included.
