So, I made a homebrew race and gave it a feature, where you can choose between different boosts, but for some reason, some of them are unavailable. Anyone knows why?
You can use Options in a Race/Variant/Subrace. You just need to make all of your traits “granted.” (“Replacement” and “Additional” are for the custom lineage stuff like in Tasha’s Cauldron.)
I'm having a similar problem. The options for the race I'm building show up, are selectable, but then the chosen feature isn't actually applied to the character.
I just ran an experiment, and added an option to choose a skill proficiency. That seemed to work fine. I then tried to have an option between two feats, and it doesn't seem to work. If I take a away the option, and just try to assign a specific feat, then instead of that one feat appearing there's a choice box will all the feats.
No, it’s the modifier. It was really only designed for the Variant Human. That modifier has always been finicky if anyone tries to use it as an all alone thing oj it’s own trait and it lets a player choose any 1 feat. As soon as one tries to use that modifier in the ways you described and it has never worked.

Did you make them all as “granted features?”

Is the “hide on sheet” box checked?
Are these options set to happen at any level above character creation?

No to both questions.

Thanks. Now I know it wasn't something I messed up, and it can just be done manually.
