I created a Homebrew feat that I plan to populate with a number of Options. Each Option will include a different homebrew weapon that I want the player to be able to choose from. This is my workaround to not being able to create nonmagical custom items with user-definable damage dice and ranges (short and long). If I create an Action associated with the Feat, make it activate with an Action, and designate it to appear as an attack, it appears in the character sheet section that I expect. However, if I create an Option, then create the Action associated with that Option, the Action appears under "Other" on the character sheet. This appears to be a bug.
For the actions associated with the options, are they designated to “display as attack” but not designated specifically as an “action” (as opposed to “bonus action,” or whatever)? If that isn’t designated specifically as an action/bonus action/reaction, then it will automatically plop it under “other” for lack of options.
Thank you, I think I figured it out. I created another option and it worked correctly. I suspect there's a caching issue that's preventing it from updating immediately.
I did notice that when I tried to create a custom Weapon action straight from the character sheet (i.e. not the homebrew system), the Fixed Value could only be positive, even if I included a die type. I want to make the damage exclude ability score modifiers, and it seems there's no way to do that using this method.

Oh, yeah, ya gotta give it up to 20 after you hit the main [SAVE CHANGES] under Basic Information.
For the other thing, make it a “General Action” instead of a Weapon Action and it should 🤞remove the Ability score bonus from the damage roll.
