So I have a homebrew magic item that I have added two spells onto so far, Zephyr Strike and Catapult from Xanathars. However, when I tried to add another spell in a separate edit (Ensnaring Strike, a spell from the PHB), the spell does not appear in the list to add. Both of the source books, Players Handbook and Xanathar's Guide to Everything, are being shared with me so that shouldn't be the issue. Has anyone had this problem before? Any help is appreciated.
That's odd... is there some chance you may have purchased them individually somehow? Check Xanathar's Marketplace listing to see if it shows you owning those spells.

IamSposta I talked to my group about what you said and one of them had homebrewed an exact copy of Zephyr Strike that they could use so it popped up. Thanks for explaining Catapult as well. All makes sense now. Also thanks naruhoodie.

You can only add spells to your homebrew if you own them, having them shared with you isn't enough.

But I have never owned Xanathars, so how have I been able to add catapult and zephyr strike to the item?

Catapult was first published in the EEPC and is free content that anyone can add to items, etc. Are you sure about zephyr strike?
