I scoured Google search and searched here, but to no avail.
I have custom backgrounds for a couple of my player's characters for a campaign of mine. Unfortunately, the only thing that shows up when a player opens the background to view things like the description, equipment, features, etc. is the proficiencies. No items/equipment, no feature information, nothing. The sidebar just has proficiencies. This apparently has been a problem for about 3 years and I am fairly saddened that it apparently is still a problem, with a few threads regarding this issue being posted with zero replies from anyone in support or zero replies at all. Just a "This is still a problem" and the post thread is abandoned.
Are there going to be any solutions to this? I had to put all the information of the entire background into the feature description box just so it is viewable from the sheet. I feel like that is a major oversight.
Yeah, they're right. I've never noticed this, as I only have a few homebrew backgrounds of my own. If you click on the background feature, it doesn't display any information, except for languages and abilities it would seem.
I created a brand new homebrew background, copying courtier, but renaming it to AAAAAAA, just to see if it was an error on my side when building the previous backgrounds, but it does it to this one as well.
Click on a homebrew background and all you get is this
But click on an official background and you get all of this
I'm going to wait a couple of days before deleting my random test background and character, so that anyone who needs to see it has ample time to check it out.
sad to see that this is still an issue that hasn't been resolved over 3 years later. Like the OP, I scoured google and this is the only thread that came up regarding this bug.

Can you provide a link to a character sheet affected by this issue?

Can you provide a link to the homebrew background you made? No need to publish it
