One of the magic item modifiers is to grant a feat to the character using the item. I want to have the item grant a homebrew feat but the list only shows the official feats. The feat in question shows up on lists for the character to take upon level up, but not in the magic item list. Is this intentional or should my feat show up there?
It is possible for items to grant feats though. I have created a different item that granted the Sentinel feat and it appeared on the character sheet when the item was added.
I thought so. It honestly has been a bit since I checked that item, but the list is still an option when making a homebrew magic item. I'm just confused as to why homebrew feats aren't available on that list.

It is not currently possible for magic items to grant feats. Even the official feats listed won’t get applied by a magic item.

Does it still work? Because I used to have a hand crossbow that applied the Crossbow Expert feat but it stopped working. 🤷♂️

Well, thanks for your insight. I'll just have the player manuall add the feat when attuned to the item. Brute force solutions FTW.
