For some reason I can't get the grasp on quotes on dndbeyond forums.
Often I find a post, where I just want to add to a single thing a poster has said, and I just want to quote that single line, so it is clear what I'm answering.
But ofte, when I press the quote in the button of a post, it quotes ALL the text. No this isn't a problem if the one i'm quoting hasn't quoted others, but if they have, then I'm screwed. I'm often finding myself using more time trying to quote the correct thing, and removing other quoters from the message, so much that often I just give up, and wont reply.
So how do I quote a single line ? I had imagined it as simple as just select the line or text I want to quote, press the quote button and thats it :/
You have already discovered how to do it, by quoting the whole post and manually deleting the unwanted bits.
Often it is simply easier to quote the whole post, leave it intact, and simply type your answer. (Most people figure out what you’re referring to anyway.)

When dealing with nested quotes I often hide the excess in a spoiler.
