Description

If a Lv.1 character takes the Strixhaven - Lorehold Student background (and thus the feat), there's no way to choose two cantrips from the allowed Light, Sacred Flame, and Thaumaturgy list.

Steps to Reproduce:

1. Ensure that you have Strixhaven purchased!
2. Create a new character (I chose a 1 Wizard)
3. Enter all stats you need to add
4. Select Strixhaven - Lorehold Student background.
5. Continue entering stuff, until you can proceed to your character page.
6. Click Manage Spells
7. Observe that you can't select any of the Strixhaven - Lorehold cantrips
8. Observe that you can choose one of the Lorehold 1st level spells, however.

Expected result:

The Strixhaven feats should allow end users to choose not just 1st level spells for your school, but also your two cantrips.

At this time backgrounds can't add feats, so you'll need to add the Strixhaven Initiate feat separately, using Manage Feats from the Features and Traits section of your character sheet. Select the version of the feat for Lorehold, with the spellcasting ability you intend to use. The feat is where you select the 2 cantrips and 1st-level spell.

That solution doesn't help for races without spellcasting ability e.g. ranger

Ranger is a class, not a race.

On the character sheet, just go to the feats section and directly add the relevant Feats.

 Can you link to the character that you're unable to add the strixhaven initiate feat to? I'm able to follow the steps provided with my non-spellcaster fighter

1. Make a level 1 fighter
2. Select Lorehold Student during character creation
3. From the character sheet, go to Features & Traits > Feats > Manage Feats
4. Select Strixhaven Initiate (Lorehold - ANY ABILITY VERSION)
5. Select my 3 spells from the bottom of the feat description in the Manage Feats sidebar 

I am also having this issue. I created a druid and have selected my class, the Lorehold student background selected, the Strixhaven feat added additionally, and I see the three first level spells available to me, but I cannot add the additional cantrips.

The first two dropdowns are for the cantrips, the third dropdown is for the 1st-level spell. You only get one 1st-level spell from the feat, not three.

I'm so sorry, I'm not sure to which drop downs you are referring. I added the feat on my character sheet - there are no drop downs there, and it is not visible to me at all in the builder.

Right where you added the feat. You have to go to “Features & Traits”->”Feats” and then hit the [MANAGE FEATS] button. f1 Then scroll down the list until you see the feat, it will have a blue circle with an exclamation point in it. f2 Click the feat and scroll down until you see the dropdowns. f3
