Hey all! So, I’m DMing a game and we are using dnd beyond because it’s amazing! I’m running into one issue though.. our Warlock has Pack of the Tome and found a scroll of Augury which she is copying into her spell book. It’s not in her known spell list, so she can’t add it to her list of known spells. How would I get around this? Thanks in advance!
You can now inscribe magical rituals in your Book of Shadows. Choose two 1st-level spells that have the ritual tag from any class’s spell list (the two needn’t be from the same list). The spells appear in the book and don’t count against the number of spells you know. With your Book of Shadows in hand, you can cast the chosen spells as rituals. You can’t cast the spells except as rituals, unless you’ve learned them by some other means. You can also cast a warlock spell you know as a ritual if it has the ritual tag.
On your adventures, you can add other ritual spells to your Book of Shadows. When you find such a spell, you can add it to the book if the spell’s level is equal to or less than half your warlock level (rounded up) and if you can spare the time to transcribe the spell. For each level of the spell, the transcription process takes 2 hours and costs 50 gp for the rare inks needed to inscribe it.
The builder doesn't let you add the ritual spells, nor more ritual spells to your character.
I know this is pretty old, but is there a better way to do this rather than a homebrew item? Was trying to figure it out tonight, and couldn't add a ritual spell to my character as a spell known.

It’s always better to start a new thread instead of encoring one this far out of date. That said, it is now possible to do this; but you have to do it in the builder, not on the character sheet. If you look in the Class section of the builder, under the entry for Book of Ancient Secrets, you will see that (if you haven’t chosen any spells for it yet), there are actually three drop-downs to choose spells when initially you only get 2 spells. The third drop-down lets you choose another ritual spell later if you run across one. Once you choose that one, another empty drop-down appears, ready and waiting for you to find another ritual spell to add to your book.

Hi Dreszdyn,
I'm not an expert on Warlocks, so hopefully someone who is can confirm, but it seems your player has confused Warlocks with Wizards.
Warlocks don't have a spellbook for their spells and can't add further spells from scrolls in the way that Wizards can.
The Pact of the Tome class feature grants additional cantrips.

The eldritch invocation Book of Ancient Secrets allows warlocks to add ritual spells to a spellbook.
The builder doesn't let you add the ritual spells, nor more ritual spells to your character.
Ah, thanks for explaining.

I think you may be able to get around it by creating a homebrew magic item with the spells.
