I've run into an issue after choosing the homunculus servant infusion. I'm pretty sure the proper way to handle familiars and other pet type features is to go to the extra tab on the character sheet and search up what you're looking for and add it to your sheet?
The problem is when I search for homunculus servant there is none available? The only one that is there is the homunculus which comes from a 6th level wizard spell.
Does anybody have any insight into a solution?
It would be nice to have a proper way to handle this in which it would scale with your proficiency bonus like it's supposed to
At this time, DDB doesn't have a way to have creature stat blocks in Extras scale with PC stats like proficiency bonus.
I wound up homebrewing a monster for my Homunculus Servant that I edit when I level up. But you need to have its CR match your level to make the numbers work out correctly. It's about the best workaround so far.
The other thing I've done, since I was homebrewing an Artificer subclass anyway, was to add an "option" in a subclass feature that would "turn on" Homunculus Servant, which adds an Action that has the pertinent information in its snippet, much like what DDB recently added for the Battle Smith's Steel Defender. I get the feeling that the webcode for handling Infusions isn't able to add Actions, otherwise they might've done that for when you infuse a Servant.

Oh this sounds interesting. Too bad I don't have any characters with a HS to play around with this.
I will say that I don't know which I like more, the Steel Defender Action or making a homebrew monster for the Extras tab. I do have a BS that recently hit 3 so I'll get to see which method I use more in a beyond20 session soon.
I do like making homebrew monsters for my Extras tab though. I get to put their names in the different parts of the statblock. I can add an action for Dragon's Breath for any of my familiars.
