For some reason any new characters I make that are wizards, artificers or clerics at lvl 1 I only am able to pick one spell. At lvl 2 it’s two spells, lvl 3 is three spells, etc. but I don’t have this issue when I choose bards or warlocks.
I own most of the books and am only now having this issue after using this site for over a year. My players that i content share with aren’t having this problem and I can’t find anything online on how to fix it. any ideas y’all?
Am I wrong by saying that sounds like intended behavior if your character has a zero in their Spellcasting ability modifier? Make sure you've chosen your character's ability scores, as those affect how many spells you can prepare.

Are you also having this issue with druids and paladins, which are also prepared spell casters?
