I've been a subscriber since the beginning -- and "own" a great deal of content.
My son wants to DM a campaign, which seems a reasonable request. How do I arrange this for him -- so that he can run a campaign as the DM on my account (so he has access to all the material I've "bought")?
If you have a master tier subscription then you don’t have to. He can start the campaign on his own account and you can join it as a player and activate content sharing for the campaign and he will have access to all of your materials.
Does your son have a bunch of unclaimed characters in the campaign, like, as NPCs or something? There’s a limit of 12 players per campaign, so if there are a lot of unclaimed characters in there it will read as full. However, each player can have up to 99 characters per campaign, so If he claims all of those NPCs they will register all to his account and it will free up room for you to join.
If that’s👆not the case, then have him reset the join link and resend it. Something might have gone funky there. Like, maybe the last character got dropped, or it added a no-break space at the end (looks like this: ). A no-break space at the end will result in a broken link.
AHA! It seems the DnD Beyond page now says I have a "free account." This seems to be the source of my troubles. I've emailed DnD Beyond Support to ask what has gone wrong.
You probably accidentally created a second account by logging in under a different method (Twitch Vs Google, etc). But that still shouldn’t have mattered when it came to using the join link for the campaign. I hope it all works out for you.

My son tried that ... it didn't work. When I clicked to join, it gave me a 403 error.
I've got the top tier subscription.
