Hello, I am a DM for a new campaign and I have a player unable to join my campaign. It is not full. I have searched all over the forums and none of the fixes that people reported have worked. The character is NOT already in a campaign, she made a copy and couldn't join with that either. The character is complete. I tried resetting the join link, no luck. She tried different browsers, is not on a VPN, has no browser extensions that would cause a problem. It just tells her "There was a problem joining the campaign with that character." How can we resolve this? She is the only person to have an issue.
Thank you for searching the forums for ideas, and telling us what you have already tried!
The one other thing I can think of is to see if she can use the join link but choose to make a new character. (This won't work if she doesn't have any character slots left). I does mean rebuilding the character in the campaign, which I know is a hassle.
Otherwise, I think your/her next step is to file a support request using the "contact us" link below.
This did not work, but thank you for the suggestion.
I will have her try to remake the character, and if that doesn't work, contact support. Unfortunately she has no experience at all with D&D, let alone Beyond, so it's a bit of a challenge to get everything working in the first place.
