Snippet Code Help

Trying to get a homebrew spell to display caster's spell save DC using this snippet:

Wisdom saving throw DC {{savedc:wis}} or take 1d6 psychic damage.

When I add to character doesn't work and just displays the snippet. Just getting into this so guessing I'm missing something simple. 

Snippet codes only function in fields labeled “snippet,” not in fields labeled “description.” Spells only have a description field, not a snippet field, so snippets don’t work on spells.
