Trying to homebrew some magic items to use as easy on/off toggles for commonly used effects in my campaign. One of them is a meal that grants temporary HP for the next day. The temporary HP modifier options are all set up in the homebrew item, but the temporary HP does not take effect when equipped on player character sheets.
It still doesn't work. If it's not ever going to be fixed the option should be removed. Why frustrate users?
It isn't removed because while the modifier cannot affect the sheet yet it will be useful if that becomes a thing.
Also, although we have separate tools for creating different things, by and large the modifiers are the same for everything. Even modifiers that have no actual sheet function will add notes and search tags to the entry to certain creations. For example: if I go to the public homebrew Magic Items I can open advanced filters and search for anything with Bonus - Temporary Hit Points. This lets players and DMs find the homebrew item that are more likely to serve their needs.
So while it may not actually do anything for the sheet - the modifier in question still has an actual purpose that is useful.

That is not currently possible.
