No it wasn’t. According to your profile you just created this account today. You probably just used to log in using something different before. Like, for example, if you logged in with Wizards when you used to log in through Google or Apple or Twitch instead.
No, I always logged in through apple. I did the same thing this time and poof, it was all gone. As for my account being “created today”, that’s the problem. I made it a while ago, at least a few months ago.
I guarantee you that you used to log in using one of the other methods, either that or you logged in this time using one of the other methods. This happens all the time to people is how I know it happened to you.
I have this same issue. My only log in has been with my icloud. I don't have access to any of my characters or purchased books. I can't find a support link to try to get access to my account. It simply created a new one. It stemmed from a new phone purchase. Any help please?
Signing in with apple often gives you two choices: using your actual email or hiding your email. Is it possible that each of you with issues signed in one way when you first created your account and then later signed in the other way? In each case of those of you reporting issues, your join dates are very recent. I also note that in each case, your user names are apparently random strings of letters and numbers. I'm also wondering if apple was inconsistent about the email address/log in information it provided DDB if both your original and subsequent log-ins were of the "hide my email" variety, and that's why things have gone wonky.
So I did some looking for info on the "hide my email" option. I suggest that each of you look at the instructions in this article from apple, specifically the section on "on the web." That will let you see what websites you use apple sign-in. If you sign in hiding your email, it will tell you the specific email address apple created for your log in. I'm guessing you will see more than one entry for the DDB website.
So, I logged back into a dnd Beyond account of mine and it was completely wiped.
