The calculations for damage in the character sheet do not include the proficiency bonus in the virtual dice rolls.

That’s because PB is not included in damage rolls RAW, only attack rolls.

Okay thank you, I was thrown off by the number saying hit/DC instead of attack in my research.

What do you mean?

Like how numbers factor in to your stats and bonuses. Like how the numbers affect everything. The wordy nature of most posts are hard to understand without having played those mechanics. It says some things multiply rolls and you can add modifiers to other things beyond skills but I haven't been able to find how they link. 

Especially with skill slots and levels, they do a number drop but don't explain how those numbers are utilized or if they mean character or class level.

Ahh. My best suggestion is to re-read chapters 7 & 9 of the Basic Rules & SRD/ PHB. Those two chapters explain how all the numbers fit together. You might also want to look at the Multiclassing rules in chapter 6 too, but it’s probably not gonna be necessary.
