So i have made a bit of homebrew and have posted a few but some of them (namely my new paladin subclass i made) is saying that it is too similar to circle of spores and so will not let me post it. it is a manifesting curses homebrew that has nothing to do with circle of spores.
is this somthing anyone else has had problems with? how did you fix it?
the main page for context:
This Subclass cannot be shared with the community for the following reasons:
Oath of the accursed manifestation is currently too similar to Circle of Spores to share with the community.
This homebrew Subclass does not have the necessary class features with the correct required levels.
Remember, private homebrew is automatically shared with other users in your campaigns and does not need to be shared with the community for players to access.
Paladins who swear the Oath of Accursed Manifestation bear a unique burden that sets them apart from their kin. Whether born with a curse-infused heritage or cursed by malevolent forces, these paladins embrace their connection to dark energies, wielding curses as tools for both good and ill. As they harness their curse-infused abilities, they unravel hidden malevolence, break enchantments, empower allies, and channel the chilling power of curses against their adversaries.
Tenets of the Accursed Manifestation:
Curse's Vigilance: I vow to remain vigilant against the hidden taint of curses and malevolence that threaten to corrupt the world. Through my curse-infused abilities, I shall reveal darkness where it lurks and bring it to light.
Balance of Power: I understand that the curse's energy is both a weapon and a burden. I will wield this power with caution, never allowing it to consume me or those around me. My actions shall always seek a balance between wielding curses for justice and preserving harmony.
Cursed Protection: I dedicate myself to using my curse-infused abilities to protect the innocent and vulnerable. I shall shield them from the grasp of malevolent forces and provide respite from the curses that seek to harm them.
Unravel Enchantments: The enchantments that shroud truth shall not deceive me. I shall seek to unravel deceitful spells and break the chains of manipulation that bind others, allowing them to see the world for what it truly is.
Transcendent Sacrifice: I accept that my curse-infused power comes at a cost. When the time comes, I will embrace the consequences of my abilities, even if it means suffering for the sake of a greater purpose.
Channel divinity
when you take this subclass you gain two different channel divinity options (manafest curse - Espial and manifest curse - severense).
Manafest curse - Espial. as an action you release your cursed power allowing you to sense other dark powers that may surround you. fr the next 10 minutes you gain improved insight, the ability to see curses within 60 ft and the ability to see the nature of your enemies from what darkness surrounds them.
Manafest curse - severance. as an action you make the attack action adding your cursed power to it splitting their connection to the magics of the world.
manafest curse: galvanising wrath
Starting at 7th level, your mastery over accursed energy extends to empowering your allies, infusing them with swiftness and ferocity. You emanate an aura of empowerment within 10 feet of you, benefiting both allies and yourself.
Cursed Swiftness: Allies within the aura's radius gain a +10 feet bonus to their movement speed.
Accursed Ferocity: Allies within the aura's radius gain a +2 bonus to attack rolls and damage rolls. This bonus applies to melee and ranged weapon attacks as well as spells that deal damage. The bonus damage is added to the damage dealt with each successful hit.
manafest curse: equilibrium
Starting at 7th level, you gain the ability to tap into the curse's balance, allowing you to bestow and alleviate malevolent energies at will. You can use your Channel Divinity to cast the spell "Bestow Curse" without expending a spell slot and without requiring concentration. You can use this feature twice. You regain expended uses after finishing a long rest. Additionally, if you successfully cast the "Remove Curse" spell, you can use this feature again.
Curse Dispel:Additionally, you can use your action to absorb the accursed energy and attempt to dispel a curse affecting someone or something, using the "Remove Curse" spell. You can use this ability a number of times equal to your Charisma modifier (a minimum of once). You regain expended uses after finishing a long rest.
manifest curse: catalyzed desolation
At 20th level, you can unleash the true extent of your curse-infused power, becoming a vessel of desolation on the battlefield. As an action, you can invoke the "Curse Manifest - Catalyzed Desolation"
According to that you have Channel Divinity @ 3rd level, two Manifest Curse features @ 7th, and another Manifest Curse @ 20th. You seem to be missing a 15th level feature, which is required for Paladins. (You’re also missing a list of additional subclass specific spells @ 3rd level, which is traditional for Paladins.) I recommend you check out the General Homebrew FAQ #Ω for mor info about both of those error messages: (https://www.dndbeyond.com/forums/dungeons-dragons-discussion/homebrew-house-rules/131411-a-homebrewers-how-to-faq).
PS- I also recommend checking out the General Homebrew FAQ #s 7 & 8 for reasons not to publish yet.
