I am creating a Character and a part of the Flavor is that I would like them to use a Sickle as their small pokey blade opposed to a Dagger.
In the Sickle description it states: "Proficiency with a sickle allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it."
On my Character Sheet, I manually added Proficiency with a Sickle (DM was okay with this) via the "Proficiencies & Languages" dialog box.
On the sheet it now calls out that I am Proficient with a Sickle, yet, when I equip it, in the Actions section it still states the Damage as 1d4, not 1d4+Proficiency Bonus like it does for a Dagger.
Do any of you know why this is, if I entered this info wrong, or how to fix the character sheet so that it shows the correct damage?
Any help is appreciated!
Cheers!

Breathe, dragons; sing of the First World, forged out of chaos and painted with beauty. Sing of Bahamut, the Platinum, molding the shape of the mountains and rivers; Sing too of Chromatic Tiamat, painting all over the infinite canvas. Partnered, they woke in the darkness; partnered, they labored in acts of creation.
Daggers have the Finesse property, which means they can use SEX instead of STR for attack and damage calculations. The Character App factors this in automatically. Sickles do not have this property.
That is to say, my guess is that the reason your character is showing higher values for attack and damage rolls with the dagger, is because your DEX is higher; it has nothing to do with Proficiency bonus being added or not added.
Damage never includes Proficiency bonus. Proficiency is only ever included in attack rolls, never damage rolls.
IamSposta, I knew I was looking at something wrong, thank you, yes the Proficiency bonus is added to the Attack Roll, and I thought it was added to the Damage.

WynnThornton, Thank you for the clarification! I was indeed looking at the Damage, not the Attack roll value like IamSposta pointed out, and yes, the Dagger gets the boost to damage due to the [Tooltip Not Found] property and my Dex calculation.

Just a guess:
Your character has higher DEX than STR.
Daggers have the Finesse property, which means they can use SEX instead of STR for attack and damage calculations. The Character App factors this in automatically. Sickles do not have this property.
